At Bharat Tanks and Vessels LLP ("BTV"), we are committed to conducting business with the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and responsibility. This Code of Conduct outlines the principles and expectations that guide the behavior of our employees, contractors, suppliers, and partners, both in India and across the globe.

1. Compliance with Laws and Regulations

  • We adhere to all applicable laws, including Indian Labour Laws, the Factories Act, Environmental Protection Laws, and global standards in countries where we operate.
  • All personnel are expected to understand and comply with legal and regulatory requirements related to their duties.

2. Ethical Business Practices

  • We conduct all business dealings with honesty, fairness, and transparency.
  • Corruption, bribery, extortion, and any form of unethical influence are strictly prohibited.
  • All financial transactions must be properly documented and disclosed.

3. Respect in the Workplace

  • We are an equal opportunity employer and maintain a workplace free from discrimination and harassment of any kind.
  • We do not tolerate discrimination based on gender, religion, caste, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, or political opinion.
  • Bullying, intimidation, or offensive behavior is not permitted.

4. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • We are committed to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, complying with ISO 45001 and global HSE standards.
  • All employees must follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and report hazards immediately.
  • Environmental protection is integral to our operations. We support sustainable practices and comply with ISO 14001 guidelines.

5. Anti-Harassment and Anti-Discrimination

  • We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for any form of workplace harassment, including sexual harassment, as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.
  • An Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is in place for prompt redressal of complaints.

6. Fair Labour and Employment Practices

  • We comply with the Minimum Wages Act, Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Act, and other labor welfare regulations.
  • Child labor, forced labor, and bonded labor are strictly prohibited.
  • Working hours, leave entitlements, and overtime are governed by law and industry standards.

7. Conflict of Interest

  • Employees must avoid situations where personal interests conflict with professional responsibilities.
  • Any potential conflict must be disclosed to the HR or Ethics Committee in writing.

8. Protection of Company Assets and Confidentiality

  • All physical and intellectual assets must be used responsibly and only for authorized business purposes.
  • Confidential company information, client data, and project details must not be shared without permission.

9. Anti-Bribery and Gifts

  • Employees are prohibited from accepting or offering bribes, gifts, or personal benefits intended to influence business decisions.
  • Only nominal and customary gifts may be exchanged, and all must be transparently reported.

10. Commitment to a Positive Work Culture

  • We support learning, innovation, and growth at all levels of the organization.

11. Reporting and Whistleblower Protection

We encourage employees to report unethical behavior, violations of law, or breach of this code in good faith. A confidential whistleblower mechanism is in place, and retaliation against whistleblowers is strictly prohibited.

12. Enforcement and Disciplinary Action

Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary actions, including warnings, suspension, termination, and legal prosecution where applicable.

13. Acknowledgment and Acceptance

All employees, partners, vendors, and contractors are required to read, understand, and comply with this Code of Conduct. A signed declaration of acknowledgment may be requested at onboarding or during audits.
